The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) has announced Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement (BSM), an integrated maritime solutions leader, as a Marine Partner of the Institute. As part of the partnership, all BSM Superintendents will be awarded Affiliate membership to the Institute.
“I am very pleased to welcome BSM and to begin what I know will be a supportive and valuable relationship. They have demonstrated a high level of commitment to continued professional development and we look forward to supporting them with this through both membership and our learning arm, the Marine Learning Alliance Ltd. (MLA). We will provide them with a bespoke management and leadership training package to benefit their fleet managers and marine superintendents.” David Loosley, IMarEST Chief Executive.
IMarEST’s Marine Partners are able to work closely with the Institute to promote professional registration and membership, continuing professional development, knowledge sharing and learning opportunities within their organisations and the wider marine community. Partners are also offered global industry networking opportunities and discounts on international events and training amongst other benefits. These benefits are similarly available to Superintendents through their Affiliate membership, which also includes access to the Virtual Library, a leading marine repository; our monthly magazine, The Marine Professional; access to Special Interest Groups; access to their local IMarEST Branch and much more.
‘BSM is firmly committed to supporting the professional development of our employees and enabling everyone who works for us to thrive within their working environment. We are continuously investing to build a diverse and engaging culture that enables us to attract, develop and retain a highly professional and empowered workforce who deliver the best solutions for our customers and thereby sustained business growth for BSM. The global partnership established with the IMarEST is further testimony to this commitment and, through access to professional qualifications, will provide benefits to our employees, our company and our customers.’ Elena Pantazidou, Corporate Director HR Shore, Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement.
