Thank you to those who joined our COVID-19: Managing Maritime Cash Flow webinar on Wednesday, 8 April. This webinar was aimed at SMEs and was organised by Maritime London member BDO LLP in partnership with Maritime London for the UK maritime community. The event outlined the measures announced by the UK Government and explained how businesses can access them, with an added focus on managing cash flow.
The webinar, hosted by Richard Greiner (pictured), Maritime London director and BDO Shipping Partner and Jos Standerwick, Chief Executive of Maritime London was a great success which has received excellent feedback.
Greiner explained: “the purpose of this webinar was to join together, sharing wider knowledge and expertise to all maritime companies who inevitably are facing unprecedented economic uncertainties. The webinar was led by subject matter experts from BDO to help companies with understanding and accessing the government’s financial support packages and offer practical advice where possible.”
The fully-packed agenda covered a variety of pertinent topics such as a current economic overview, the UK government’s measures announced and how to access them, COVID-19 loans, suspension of wrongful trading provisions, COVID-19 for employers and the self-employed, VAT considerations, Time to Pay arrangements and ended with a lively Q&A session.
