The 2020 Seafarers Awareness Week will be held on 6-12 July digitally, has annonced Seafarers UK, the charity that has coordinated and promoted the event annually since 2010.
In 2020 the Week will continue to raise public awareness of the UK’s ongoing dependence as an island nation on the men and women who work at sea. As usual, it will provide a free promotional platform for the whole maritime industry to get behind the UK’s leading campaign for seafarers and their vital roles to be appreciated.
In view of Government restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic there are unlikely to be any physical events this year. But there are multiple opportunities for video, podcasts and other digital content to be created and shared, says the charitiy.
