Helen Dalziel has been appointed as Director of Public Policy at the International Underwriting Association. The organisation which represents insurance and reinsurance companies operating in the London insurance market announced that she will take a lead role in all its work on prudential and conduct regulatory issues, both in UK and relevant international jurisdictions.
Helen, previously Senior Legal and Market Services Executive at the IUA, has wide experience across various different roles within the general insurance industry and holds a Chartered Insurance Institute’s Diploma in Insurance. She now joins the IUA’s senior management team.
The IUA has also announced that Tom Hughes and Joe Shaw have both been promoted to the position of Senior Market Services Executive and that Jonny Reed holds the position of Market Services Executive. All three now have enhanced responsibilities in serving the association’s 64 member companies. Meanwhile, Nicola Yuill has been given the title of Executive Assistant reflecting her role working directly for the IUA’s Chief Executive Dave Matcham.
