The responsibility for Gard’s network of external service providers in Claims is to be transferred to Thomas Nordberg, Head of Claims Services from Geir Sandnes, Deputy Chief Claims Officer, with effect from 20 February 2021.
As Head of Claims Services since last year, Nordberg is responsible for coordinating Gard’s efforts to further enhance our services and thereby the customer experience. Prior to his current role, Nordberg has been managing director of Gard’s offices in Gothenburg and London. He has also worked in our Hong Kong and Arendal offices in the past. He has experience both from Underwriting and Claims.
Geir Sandnes has had the responsibility for External Service Providers (ESPs) in Claims for some 15 years and has been a cornerstone in strengthening Gard’s positive ESP relationships, managing our ESP network, and representing us in the IG Correspondents Sub-Committee. The transfer of responsibility is done in view of increased responsibilities for Sandnes as Deputy Chief Claims Officer since last year.
