The Gibraltar Port Authority (GPA) is delighted to announce that the new Mid Harbour Marina outer wharf, providing over 500 metres of berthing space, at a charted depth of at least 6m (and deeper in most parts), is ready for visiting super yachts.
This additional jetty space, in the relatively sheltered waters inside the harbour, comes at a time when the number of fuelling points in the port is also increasing. Minister for Shipping, the Honourable Albert Isola MP, stated that ‘this represents a significant increase in our berthing capacity for this elite sector of the shipping community’.
CEO of the GPA and Captain of the Port, Commodore Bob Sanguinetti added that ‘we are thrilled to be able to offer berths for medium to long term visits, with pre booking available, to yachts wishing to take advantage of the wide range of services and facilities available in Gibraltar or for their crews to simply enjoy the attractions on offer on the Rock. The additional berths, together with the extra fuelling points when ready will further improve the port’s efficiency and traffic flow for super yachts calling at Gibraltar – an exciting development’.
