Over 50 London International Shipping Week (LISW) sponsors and supporting organisations attended a briefing and lunch held at the Baltic Exchange yesterday to hear latest developments about the week from LISW’s Steering Group Chairman Jeremy Penn and Communications Working Group Chairman Sean Moloney.
Mr Penn said: “This September’s event looks set to be the biggest yet with more industry events attracting global maritime leaders to London. The purpose of LISW is not just to extol the UK’s position as a world maritime hub, but also to build relationships. The support of sponsors and supporting organisations is a real credit to the event.”
Speaking of the impact LISW is having globally, Mr Moloney added: “Shipping’s voice really comes alive during LISW. The number and calibre of events being held this year truly reflects the world’s opinion of the UK and LISW. By working with sponsors and supporting organisations we can deliver another successful and top level LISW.”
As new sponsors and supporting organisations continue to come onboard, the message is clear: London is open for global maritime business.
