The London Maritime Arbitration Association (LMAA) will be running seminars in Tokyo and Seoul on 18 and 22 May 2023 respectively. These will be the latest in a series of overseas events which the LMAA have organised since COVID restrictions eased. Last year, they visited Piraeus, Copenhagen and Oslo.
The subject of each seminar will be current practices and recent developments in London maritime arbitration. This will be of interest to lawyers, P&I and FD&D Clubs, shipowners, charterers, shipyards, and others involved in the maritime sector. In addition to shipping and international trade, there will be discussion of dispute resolution in the offshore energy sector. There will be talks by LMAA members, including David Steward, Daniella Horton and Aspiring Full Member George Eddings, together with Honorary Secretary Gerard Hopkins. Past President Ian Gaunt will also be joining the team in Seoul. Each event will include a Q&A session with a panel of experts.
