London International Shipping Week 2021 will long be remembered as one of the most extraordinary maritime events ever to have taken place, not least because it was the first such gathering anywhere in the world since the arrival of Covid prompted a global lockdown.
LISW21 once again showcased London’s importance as a leading global maritime centre and truly demonstrated the amazing resilience and innovation of the shipping industry.
This Post-Event Report (accessible here) provides a unique snapshot of the remarkable variety of in-person and virtual events that took place during the week.
Maritime London Chairman Lord Mountevans, who also chaired the LISW21 Board of Advisor said: “It has been such a huge privilege to chair the Advisory Board for London International Shipping Week. The Board contained such a focused and engaged collection of senior maritime figures – it was a pleasure to work with them all. Against the constantly changing global Covid situation, where each board meeting seemed to present new challenges to wrestle with, this team, together with the hard-working Steering Group who undertake so much of the heavy lifting, delivered a stunningly successful LISW.”
Save the date for the next London International Shipping Week: 11-15 September 2023.
